Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as of September 23, 2025):
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 25 years (General/EWS)
Age Relaxation:
OBC: 3 years
SC/ST: 5 years
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
Passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate marks.
Passed 10th standard with a two-year Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in a relevant trade such as Radio and Television, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, or others as specified in the official notification.

Selection Process
The selection process for the BSF Head Constable RO/RM posts includes the following stages:
Written Examination (Computer-Based Test): An objective-type test with 100 questions for a total of 200 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards and qualify in the physical efficiency tests (running, long jump, high jump).
Dictation and Paragraph Reading Test: This test is specifically for Head Constable (Radio Operator) candidates.
Document Verification: All original documents will be verified.
Medical Examination: A detailed medical examination to ensure candidates meet the required health standards.
