The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of School Lecturers (1st Grade Teachers) for 3225 posts. The online application process is currently open. Here are the details you need to know:

Important Dates

  • Application Start Date: August 14, 2025

  • Application Last Date: September 12, 2025

  • Exam Dates: The written examination is scheduled to be held from May 31, 2026, to June 16, 2026.

Vacancy Details

A total of 3225 vacancies have been announced for School Lecturers and Coaches across 27 different subjects.

  • Subject-wise vacancies include: Hindi (710), English (307), Sanskrit (70), Political Science (350), Geography (270), History (170), Chemistry (177), Physics (94), Mathematics (14), Biology (85), Commerce (430), and Physical Education (73), among others.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the RPSC School Lecturer posts, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • A Postgraduate or equivalent degree in the concerned subject from a UGC-recognized university.

    • A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent teaching diploma recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

    • Candidates must have working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

  • Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 21 and 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

Application Fee

  • General/BC/EBC (Creamy Layer)/Other State: ₹600/-

  • BC/EBC/EWS (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹400/-

  • SC/ST/PwD: ₹400/-

  • Correction Charge: ₹500/-

The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a two-stage process:

  1. Written Examination: The written exam will consist of two papers.

    • Paper-I (General Studies)

    • Paper-II (Subject Concerned)

    • There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.

    • Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in each paper (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates) to qualify.

  2. Document Verification: Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for document verification to confirm their eligibility.
