The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a short notification for the Officer Grade B recruitment for 2025 with 120 vacancies. The detailed notification is expected to be released on September 10, 2025.

Phase I Exam (DEPR & DSIM): October 19, 2025

Vacancy Details: A total of 120 vacancies have been announced, distributed as follows:
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - General: 83 posts
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research): 17 posts
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management): 20 posts
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: As of July 1, 2025, a candidate must be between 21 and 30 years old. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC) and for candidates with M.Phil. or Ph.D. qualifications.
Educational Qualification:
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - General:
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent technical/professional qualification.
OR A Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent technical/professional qualification.
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR:
A Master's Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Integrated Economics Course, or Finance with a minimum of 55% marks.
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM:
A Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, or Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks.

Upload a photograph, signature, and a handwritten declaration.
Fill in the application form with personal details, educational qualifications, and other information.
Pay the application fee online.
Review and submit the form, and download the e-receipt and confirmation page for your records.
Selection Process: The selection process for the General stream consists of three phases:
Phase I (Preliminary): An online objective-type exam with 4 sections: General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. This phase is qualifying in nature, and marks are not counted in the final selection.
Phase II (Mains): An online exam with three papers: Economic and Social Issues, English (Descriptive), and a specialized subject. This phase consists of both objective and descriptive questions.
Interview: A final interview carrying 75 marks. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in Phase II and the interview.
