🎓 Eligibility Criteria
The CTET exam is conducted for two papers, and the eligibility criteria differ for each:
1. Paper I (For teaching Classes I to V - Primary Stage)
Candidates must have at least one of the following minimum educational qualifications:
Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a pass or final year appearance in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a pass or final year appearance in a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a pass or final year appearance in a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), as per NCTE norms.
2. Paper II (For teaching Classes VI to VIII - Elementary Stage)
Candidates must have at least one of the following minimum educational qualifications:
Graduation with a pass or final year appearance in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a pass or final year appearance in a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a pass or final year appearance in a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Note: There is no upper age limit for applying. Relaxation in minimum marks is available for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled categories as per government norms.
💻 How to Apply Online (Step-by-Step)
The application process is entirely online via the official CTET website.
Visit the Official Website: Go to the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in.
Registration: Click on the "Apply for CTET February 2026" link. If you are a new user, click on "New Registration" and fill in your basic details (name, date of birth, contact information, etc.) to generate a Registration Number/Application Number.
Fill Application Form: Log in using your Application Number and Password. Complete the application form with your personal details, academic qualifications, and select your preferred exam city and medium of the paper.
Upload Documents: Upload scanned images of your Photograph and Signature according to the prescribed specifications:
Photograph: JPG/JPEG format, 10–100 KB file size, 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm (dimensions).

📝 Exam Pattern

Marking Scheme: +1 mark for every correct answer. There is NO negative marking.
