SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Online Form 2025

Staff Selection Commission SSC has released the notification for 10+2 Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2025. Students who want to appear in this exam can apply online between 05 June 2025 to 26 June 2025 through SSC website. Before applying, candidates must read the complete advertisement in which selection procedure, exam syllabus, pattern, exam date and other information will be available.

Eligibility Criteria (as of August 1, 2025):
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Age Limit:

• Stenographer Grade 'C': 18 to 30 years (candidates born not before August 2, 1995, and not later than August 1, 2007).
• Stenographer Grade 'D': 18 to 27 years (candidates born not before August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2007).

Age Relaxation: Permissible for various categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, etc.) as per government rules.

Nationality/Citizenship: Indian Citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention to settle permanently, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from certain specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Application Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹100/-
• SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Ex-Servicemen: ₹00/-

Selection Process:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the first stage and includes sections on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension.
• Skill Test in Stenography: Candidates who qualify the CBT will appear for a skill test where they will be given a dictation in English or Hindi and will have to transcribe it.
• Grade C: Dictation at 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for 10 minutes.
• Grade D: Dictation at 80 w.p.m for 10 minutes.

Steps to Apply:

• One-Time Registration (OTR): If you are a new user, complete the OTR process on the new SSC website. Keep your Mobile Number, Email ID, Aadhaar Number, and Matriculation details ready.
• Fill Application Form: Log in with your registration credentials and click on the "Apply" link for the "Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination, 2025" under the 'Live Exam' tab.
• Upload Documents: Upload required documents like your photograph and signature as per the specifications.
• Pay Application Fees: Pay the examination fee online (if applicable) through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or E-Challan.
• Submit and Print: Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for your records.
