Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria as of August 1, 2025:
- Age Limit: - Minimum Age: 20 years 
- Maximum Age: 28 years 
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1997, and not later than August 1, 2005. 
- Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years, etc.) as per government rules. 
 
- Educational Qualification: - A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. 
- Candidates must have a valid mark sheet/degree certificate that proves they are a graduate on the day of online registration. 
 
- Computer Literacy: - Candidates must have an operating and working knowledge of computer systems. 
- This can be a certificate, diploma, or degree in computer operations/language, or having studied computer/information technology as a subject in high school or college. 
 
- Language Proficiency: - Candidates must be proficient in the official language of the state or union territory they are applying for (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding). 
- Candidates who have studied the local language in Class 10 or above are exempt from the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT), which will be conducted after the Mains exam for others. 
 
Application Process
The application process is entirely online and consists of the following steps:
- Online Registration: - Visit the official IBPS website at - www.ibps.in.
- Click on the link for "CRP-Clerical Cadre XV" or "IBPS Clerk 2025." 
- Click on "New Registration" and provide basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID to generate a provisional registration number and password. 
 
- Filling the Application Form: - Log in using the generated credentials. 
- Fill in all personal, educational, and communication details accurately. 
- Select the state and preferred banks. 
 
- Uploading Documents: - Candidates must upload scanned images of the following documents as per the prescribed specifications: - Photograph: Recent passport-size color picture (20kb to 50kb). 
- Signature: On white paper with black ink (10kb to 20kb). 
- Left Thumb Impression (LTI): On white paper with black or blue ink (20kb to 50kb). 
- Handwritten Declaration: Must be written in the candidate's own handwriting, in English, on a white paper with black ink (50kb to 100kb). The text is as follows: - "I, (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” 
 
 
- Application Fee Payment: - Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or Mobile Wallets. 
- General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹850/- 
- SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM Candidates: ₹175/- 
 
- Final Submission & Printout: - Review all the entered details before final submission as no changes can be made afterward. 
- Print the e-receipt and the final application form for future reference. 
 
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process involves two phases: the Preliminary Exam and the Main Exam. There is no interview for the clerical cadre. The final selection is based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam.
1. Preliminary Exam
This is a qualifying exam. Marks from this stage are not counted in the final merit list.
- Total Questions: 100 
- Total Marks: 100 
- Time: 60 minutes (1 hour), with sectional timing. 
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
