2. Vacancy Details:
A total of 515 Artisan Grade IV posts are available across various BHEL manufacturing units. The trade-wise distribution is as follows:
- Fitter: 176 Posts 
- Welder: 97 Posts 
- Turner: 51 Posts 
- Machinist: 104 Posts 
- Electrician: 65 Posts 
- Electronics Mechanic: 18 Posts 
- Foundryman: 04 Posts 
3. Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: - Candidates must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) PLUS a National Trade Certificate (NTC / ITI) PLUS a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade. 
- Minimum marks required: 60% for General (UR) / EWS / OBC candidates and 55% for SC / ST candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC. 
 
- Age Limit (as on July 1, 2025): - General / EWS: 18 to 27 years 
- OBC (NCL): 18 to 30 years (3 years relaxation) 
- SC / ST: 18 to 32 years (5 years relaxation) 
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC (NCL), and 15 years for SC/ST. 
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules. 
- Age relaxation up to 7 years may be applicable for relevant work experience. 
 
4. Application Fee:
- For General / EWS / OBC candidates: Rs. 1072/- (including Rs. 600/- application fee + Rs. 400/- + GST processing fee) 
- For SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen candidates: Rs. 472/- (Nill application fee + Rs. 400/- + GST processing fee) 
- Fees should be paid online through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI. 
5. Selection Process:
The selection process for BHEL Artisan Grade IV consists of two stages:
- Stage I: Computer-Based Examination (CBE): - All eligible candidates will appear for an online examination in their respective trades. 
- The CBE will be conducted in Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil (except for Foundryman and Electronics Mechanic trades). 
- Based on CBE marks, candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (to the number of vacancies in their respective trades and categories) for the next stage. 
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark. 
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. 
- The duration of the examination is 90 minutes. 
 
- Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification: - Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification to confirm their eligibility as per the notification. 
- Subsequently, they will undergo a Skill Test, which will be qualifying in nature. Appearing and completing this stage is mandatory to be considered for the merit list. 
 
6. How to Apply Online:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the BHEL careers website: www.careers.bhel.in or - www.bhel.com 
- Find the Recruitment Link: Look for the "Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Artisan Recruitment" link on the homepage. 
- Registration: Register yourself by providing your name (strictly as per Matriculation/10th certificate), mobile number, and email ID. You will receive a Login ID and Password on your registered email and mobile. 
- Login and Fill Application Form: Use the received Login ID and Password to log in and fill out the online application form. 
- Enter Details: Provide all required personal details, educational qualifications, and other relevant information. 
- Select Manufacturing Unit and Trade: Candidates can apply for ONE unit and ONE trade only. 
- Choose Test Centers: Candidates can select up to 5 test centers for the examination. 
- Upload Documents: Upload your scanned photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines. Keep other important documents (Class X Certificate, ITI/NAC Certificate, Caste/Category Certificate, PWD/Ex-Servicemen Certificate, Domicile certificate, etc.) ready for reference.

Salary:
