- The posts are distributed across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaus (SIBs) in different states. Candidates are expected to apply for the region where they hold domicile and speak the local language. 
3. Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education. 
- Domicile Certificate: Applicants must possess a domicile certificate for the State/UT they are applying from. 
- Language Requirement: Proficiency in any one of the local language/dialect mentioned against each SIB is mandatory. This often includes both reading, writing, and speaking ability. 
- Age Limit (as on August 17, 2025): - Minimum Age: 18 years 
- Maximum Age: 27 years (for UR/EWS candidates)

4. Application Fee:
- General/EWS/OBC (Male) Candidates: ₹650/- (₹450 Recruitment Processing Fee + ₹100 Application Fee) 
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen Candidates: ₹550/- (₹450 Recruitment Processing Fee + Nil Application Fee) 
- All Female Candidates (all categories): ₹550/- (₹450 Recruitment Processing Fee + Nil Application Fee) 
- Payment Mode: The fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or Mobile Wallets. Offline payment through SBI Challan is also an option. 
5. Selection Process:
The recruitment process will be conducted in three stages:
- Tier I: Online Objective Type Computer-Based Test (CBT) - Subjects: - General Awareness 
- Quantitative Aptitude 
- Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability & Reasoning 
- English Language 
- General Studies 
 
- Questions: 20 questions from each subject, totaling 100 questions. 
- Marks: 100 marks (1 mark per question) 
- Duration: 1 hour 
- Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 
- Qualifying Marks: UR-30, OBC-28, SC/ST-25, EWS-30 (out of 100). 
 
- Tier II: Written Exam (Descriptive Type) - Part 1 (Common for all candidates): Translation of a passage of 500 words from a local language/dialect to English and vice versa. - Marks: 40 marks 
- Duration: 1 hour 
- Nature: Qualifying (minimum 20 out of 50 marks required). 
 
- Part 2 (Only for SA/Executive): Spoken Ability Test. This is assessed at the time of the Tier-III exam. - Marks: 10 marks 
 
 
- Tier III: Interview / Personality Test - Marks: 50 marks 
- This stage assesses the candidate's personality, communication skills, general awareness, and suitability for intelligence work. 
- The spoken ability test for SA/Executive is assessed during this tier. 
 
Final selection will be based on the combined performance in Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III, subject to document verification and a mandatory medical examination.
6. Pay Scale and Allowances:
- Pay Scale: Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) in the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC. 
- Gross Monthly Salary (approx.): ₹34,000 – ₹40,000 (initially), before deductions. 
- In-Hand Salary (approx.): ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month (after deductions). 
- Allowances: In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates are eligible for various Central Government allowances, including: - Dearness Allowance (DA) 
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) (varies with city classification) 
- Transport Allowance (TA) 
- Special Security Allowance (SSA): 20% of basic pay (approximately ₹4,340 initially). This is exclusive to IB posts.
