The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a notification for the RPSC Senior Teacher Grade II (TGT) Recruitment 2025-26, with a total of 6500 posts. The online application period started on August 19, 2025, and the last date to apply is September 17, 2025.

Application Fee

  • General/BC/EBC (Creamy Layer)/Other State: ₹600

  • BC/EBC/EWS (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD: ₹400

  • Correction Charge: ₹500

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Maximum Age: 40 years

  • Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent from a UGC-recognized university with the concerned subject as an optional subject.

  • They must also hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or a diploma in education from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

  • For science and social science subjects, specific combinations of optional subjects are required.

Exam Pattern

The selection process involves a written examination which is divided into two papers:

  • Paper I (General Studies):

    • Total Marks: 200

    • Number of Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions

    • Duration: 2 hours

    • Subjects:

      • Geographical, Historical, Cultural, and General Knowledge of Rajasthan (80 marks)

      • Current Affairs of Rajasthan (20 marks)

      • General Knowledge of the World and India (60 marks)

      • Educational Psychology (40 marks)

    • Negative Marking: Yes, a 1/3 deduction for each wrong answer.

  • Paper II (Subject-Specific):

    • Total Marks: 300

    • Number of Questions: 150 multiple-choice questions

    • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

    • Subjects:

      • Knowledge of Secondary and Senior Secondary Standards of the relevant subject (180 marks)

      • Knowledge of Graduation Standards of the relevant subject (80 marks)

      • Teaching Methods of the relevant subject (40 marks)

    • Negative Marking: Yes, a 1/3 deduction for each wrong answer.
