Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent from a UGC-recognized university with the concerned subject as an optional subject.
They must also hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or a diploma in education from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
For science and social science subjects, specific combinations of optional subjects are required.
Exam Pattern
The selection process involves a written examination which is divided into two papers:
Paper I (General Studies):
Total Marks: 200
Number of Questions: 100 multiple-choice questions
Duration: 2 hours
Subjects:
Geographical, Historical, Cultural, and General Knowledge of Rajasthan (80 marks)
Current Affairs of Rajasthan (20 marks)
General Knowledge of the World and India (60 marks)
Educational Psychology (40 marks)
Negative Marking: Yes, a 1/3 deduction for each wrong answer.
Paper II (Subject-Specific):
Total Marks: 300
Number of Questions: 150 multiple-choice questions
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Subjects:
Knowledge of Secondary and Senior Secondary Standards of the relevant subject (180 marks)
Knowledge of Graduation Standards of the relevant subject (80 marks)
Teaching Methods of the relevant subject (40 marks)
